The bus from Dubai to Doha is the cheapest way to make this journey and genuinely works fine — if you don't mind 8–11 hours including the border crossing at Abu Samra. Driving from Dubai to Doha is a genuine option, but only makes sense for specific situations — you're relocating with furniture or a vehicle, you have too much luggage for a flight, or you're doing a multi-country Gulf road trip. The drive itself (through Saudi Arabia via the King Fahd Causeway border crossing near Salwa) takes 7–9 hours excluding stops, plus border time.

- Thursday afternoon and Friday — slowest crossing, can be 2–4 hours as weekend traffic peaks

Getting Around Doha Once You Arrive
